At the beginning of November of last year, I met DawnMarie and her husband, Jay, and the 5 year old twins, Ava & Jake, for a fun family maternity session as they were getting ready to welcome their new baby into the world!
We started in a local field with the full family. Ava and Jake were so cute at the session. It was a chilly late fall afternoon, but they were real troopers! I love the shot of Jake giving his sister a kiss on the cheek! So sweet.
After we wrapped up outside with the family, Dad took the kids for a ride and Dawn and I headed into the studio to finish her session. I loved that she was game for anything, she had brought some staples with her, but we used lots of studio clothing too. I find it really helpful to have studio clothing for maternity sessions. Most moms don’t have tons of super dressy maternity clothes, unless they have had an event to go to. So, I have several beautiful gowns, maternity skirts, wraps, tops and other lovelies to use at sessions.
DawnMarie opted for a full maternity session, so we were able to do lots of different looks and the two locations. I loved that she brought the blue and pink flowered sash to use at her session. It was a nice way to tie in the babies gender as a surprise, as they not know the babies gender. I also love the images of Mom on the bed. So peaceful and pretty.
Baby was delivered recently at Stamford Hospital, and I’m not going to ruin the gender surprise. You’ll have to come back to see the newborn photos for the full story!
Thank you DawnMarie, Jay, Ava & Jake. I loved getting the chance to work with you both before and after your new addition!
If you are looking for a Connecticut or New York maternity, newborn or baby photographer I would love the opportunity to work with you!
Thank you so much to DawnMarie for choosing me to be your photographer, and thank you for stopping by to take a look at this beautiful session. If you are planning to book a session, please be sure to pre-book! It is SO important, I have already starting booking as far out as July and I have only limited availability left for February and March! I hate having to tell someone that I don’t have a session available for them. You can easily contact me by using the contact tab at the top of this page.
