  • Welcome to my website!

Thank you for stopping by to visit. I have always loved photography and children. My interest in photography grew after the birth of my two children. My priorities changed: my outlook was different, my hopes and dreams were filled with my family. My passion for photography grew dramatically, finding daily inspiration through my children. Nothing is more fulfilling than capturing a moment, an expression or an emotion that is at the core of a relationship. I love documenting those special moments.

    Me.......
I am a 30-something mother of two wonderful young children, Allie and Jack and a wife to my soulmate and best friend.

    I can often be found........
playing and cuddling with our two children, perusing my photography and blogging. I love being a mom and I love my life.

    My style..........
Just by visiting this website, I know that you too understand the importance of capturing the fleeting moments of childhood. Everytime I open an image that takes my breath away, I know that I am doing what I was born to do. I have a real special spot for moms-to-be and newborns. There really is nothing like becoming a mom or meeting a newborn for the first time.

My style of photography is based on genuine expressions, the twinkle in a child's eye when they smile, funny faces, pouty tears, giggles, shy grins and even frowns. I specialize in natural light and studio photography whilst incorporating black and white timeless images and vibrant and fun color photography as well.

I simply love what I do. Many thanks for your interest in my work and I hope to one day touch your heart with images of your beautiful children.

    ~Jessica

Things have been so busy lately! I am so blessed to be able to say that, and it makes me happy and proud! I was so excited to do a session for this little guy and catch up with his mama! You may remember this little guy from his newborn session, here.

This little guy is such a cutie and has a smile that is just infectious! I couldn’t help but smile throughout his session.  Even his serious looks make you want to smile, cause he is so darn cute!

May your heart be your guide and love your compass,

as you carry on your beloved father’s legacy of

happiness.

May your passion in the world feed your

soul as you step moment by precious moment forward

-leaving your own trail as you journey through life.

~Kristine Carlson

I can’t wait to see this little guy when he comes  back for his one year pictures! Thank you as always for stopping by to take a look! If you are interested in booking a session with me, it is very important to pre-book.  Pre-booking is not only important for newborn sessions, but for all sessions.  My May calendar is almost full.  June is also quite busy and I have opened the July, August and September calendars!  Please remember to pre-book, I hate having to tell someone that my calendar is full.

Do you have children of your own or are you on the journey to be a new parent? There is nothing like becoming a parent. You have so many emotions.  For me, I was so excited when I was pregnant with my daughter, Allison.  I couldn’t wait for her to get here and to get to know here and to be her mama! I am sure that the emotions are different for every parent. But you know what seems to be the same? The overwhelming love that a parent feels for their child.  This is something that I love to see during my newborn sessions. I love how even though they are working on less sleep than ideal, they are totally smitten with their new little one!

This family was no different. I love how happy and proud they are of their little guy:)Here are a few of my favorites from their newborn photography session.

Well, this blog post is long overdue! Things have been so busy lately and I just haven’t had time for blogging:(Tonight, I am making some time:) This little girl was such a little peanut and slept like a little charmer. She and her family have a special in my heart! I have been photographing them for over two years.  First when I did her oldest brother Jamison’s 1 year pictures and then her other brother Locklan’s newborn pictures and followed him through his first year!

Wilson Spring Mini Session | CT Family Photographer

This year I decided to do some spring mini sessions that would be fun for spring and Easter! This adorable little man and his parents came down to see me all the say from Southwick MA on referral of some great clients!  This little guy took a little bit of coaxing to get him to warm up, but once I shared my secret with him he opened right up! My secret, you want to know my secret? Oh, that is easy. I can’t count to 10! He thought it was absolutely hysterical and it got him to smile and even laugh a little bit too! Here are two of my favorites!
