Theodore came to me just 9 days after he was born at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was so sweet and just such a cute little man! I was really excited to get to do his newborn pictures.
This little guy was tricky at first to get settled. I know that Mom and Dad were both worried about settling him down, but with some perseverance and snuggles (and really, who doesn’t love baby snuggles?), we were able to get him to settle in. And we got some beautiful portraits!
I love the overhead images on the blue flokati fur. Those types of shots are great for when I’m working to settle a baby down and get them into a good sleep. Nothing like a good swaddling to help settle them in. I also love the black and white images of him on the green blanket—so sweet!
I know Mom and Dad were just overjoyed to have Theodore in their lives. Mom told me about their journey to getting pregnant and having this little miracle:
Our journey to becoming parents is an . . . interesting one. This was our second time getting pregnant via IVF—the first time occurred a year and a half ago; we got pregnant with twins but sadly lost them at 20 weeks. Heartbreaking and overwhelming as that experience was, we found solace and hope in knowing that “one day” we’d be pregnant again and someday would have our baby. We are thankful every day for Theo—he is our “long awaited” baby and could not be more loved!
Theodore, you are so lucky to have these two as your parents! It’s so obvious that they love you to pieces!
Michael & Emma, thank you for bringing your precious Theodore to come and meet me and for letting me be a part of this amazing time in your lives. I know he will bring love and joy into your life. I wish all three of you the best and hope to see you again soon!
If you are looking for a Connecticut or New York maternity, newborn or baby photographer I would love the opportunity to work with you!
